I bought this rack specifically to hold my patch panel and two switches. I also needed something that I could collapse to a specific depth because I was installing over a breakroom cabinet and didn't want it to stick out 4-6 over the edge. Since the switches and patch panel are very light, I wasn't worried about a weight issue, such as a server. They do provide plenty of screws to mount hardware at every U, as well as screws to secure the expansion rails for depth. I saw that some reviews mentioned that it was weak when extended while holding heavier equipment. I couldn't tell if the added additional screws. If not, then I could see that as an issue. So far, very pleased that someone created such a product that truly fit my needs.
