Easy to assemble with the backrest off of the bike. Frustrating when trying to assemble while the backrest is on the bike, I didn't want to remove the saddlebags and mounts to install. Just need a weee bit of patients when being lazy, make sure you cover all areas that you don't want to scratch, I covered everything near backrest with shop towels ................. :) lol
